2 Days Left!!

Yup. Only 2 more days to go. Then Friday we have a 4 hour meeting in which we find out our extern locations... I can't wait!!!! My enthusiasm is definitely taking precedence over any nerves at this point, thank goodness. I have a suspicion that I will be headed to oral surgery *crossing fingers*... but again, I won't know for sure until Friday... and there's a chance I could be wrong.
Which really isn't a big deal, since I'll be happy no matter where I'm going lol... at this point I'm just thrilled to be headed to an office and 100% finished with tests and studying!!!!!

These pics of Kia and Ash just crack me up.... they're a couple of goofballs.
I love my cute lil puppies.
:-)

I got my quilts back a couple of weeks ago and I've been so busy with all the school stuff that I haven't found time to post pics until now.
This first one is my 2nd quilt that I made, which I designed so that it's reversible... I ended up liking the "back" of it more than the front. Lol..

And this is another runner I threw together one afternoon.. I think my mom wants to steal it from me. I don't blame her... I love the colors!
I'm thinking I'll put on a green or brown binding and add a line of rickrack down each of the 2 white strips.

And now for my absolute favorite...

I LOVE this quilt!! It turned out so much prettier than I was expecting, and the colors are so warm and soft..... makes me want to take a nap on it! Lol...
Plus, it was so easy to make.... I put most of it together in only 2 days.

Well, that's all for now.
I'll post more pics when the bindings are on and they're completely finished.
And I'll post an update on where I'll be externing.
Only 2 more days!!!!!!!!!
:-D

~Latte~

Alice has been spending most of her time outside lately, climbing lots of trees and chsing leaves, but when she does come inside, she's crazy cuddly... it's awesome.

So, less than 3 more weeks of school left...
trying not to think about it too much lol. I'm excited about extern, but also pretty nervous... I just want those first couple of days to be over with. Lol

On a different note, meet Latte.
She's really really fat.
And cute.

She's also in love with Steve.
He's not really in love with her.
But he says she's ok.
Just really really fat.

And on yet another note, I found this pattern in Fig Tree Quilts Houses and thought it was the cutest thing ever (yes, I know I just said cute, which should only apply to baby animals and my husband, but I'm making an exception).
It made me think of Pride and Prejudice for some reason...

Well, that's all my news for this week.
My mom-in-law finally got our quilts back from the quilters, so I'm excited to see how everything turned out. I'll post pics once I get them.

Weekend Projects

So I spent my weekend recovering from taking the MO Basic.... and basically trying not to stress wondering if I passed or not.
I found this project and decided to give it a try.. I meant to go with fall colors, but then I saw the blues and greens and purples together and couldn't resist.
I haven't decided yet if I want it quilted or if I'll just leave it kind of scrappy looking... I'm leaning towards making it a wall hanging, but it might end up as a pillow instead.

And then I finally finished sewing the binding onto my runner... it only took me over a month to get around to it lol..

Next on my list is to finish the binding on my Essence quilt.... I'm horrible about bindings... I don't know what I'm going to do when I get my two twin size quilts back... hmm, they might just never get finished. Lol!

Anywayz, that was my weekend...
Nothing too exciting, just good 'ol down time.

~Ash~

So... we've finally been getting around to decorating and unpacking the last few boxes from our move... I'm putting up about a million pics of the new house on this post, so be prepared.
This is the garden off to the side of the house... I should have taken a 'before' picture... you couldn't even see the garden underneath the jungle, but we cleared the whole thing out and it looks so much better.

And....
This is Ash.

She's ridiculously cute.
We drove up to Oklahoma this past weekend to pick her up... she's kind of our 2nd anniversary present to ourselves.

And this is my centerpiece for the coffee table...
I'm so stoked that fall is finally here!! I'm planning to drink a million cinnamon dolce lattes before Christmas!!

These next few pics are of the living room... we still have a few more things to get on the walls, and I'm finishing the binding on a quilt that I want to throw over the back of the couch... but it looks a lot better than it did.

And here's my tiny pathetic kitchen lol...

And our room....
I'm planning to completely redo the color scheme in here sometime next year when I'm working and bringing in a second income. Haven't completely decided on what colors yet, though. I keep flip-flopping on ideas.

Our poor walls don't have anything up on them yet... hopefully we'll get around to it this week sometime.

Today is our two year wedding anniversary... it seems like forever ago that we got married. Strange how fast time goes by. I definitely got the better end of the deal than he did lol... I get spoiled rotten. It rocks.

Less than 6 weeks of school left!!!
I've got butterflies just thinking about going to extern.... prayers are deeply appreciated!!

It's been a while:

Hola! I'm finally getting around to updating my blog, although the pictures I'm using are now at least a month old. Lol...
These are pics of the quilt I was working on a couple of months ago... it's actually already at the quilters, but I don't have a picture of the quilt top, which I will post when I get it back.

And...
here's the other quilt top I finished. I made it reversible, so we'll see how that turns out when I get it back.

And these next 3 pictures were taken by my lovely sister-in-law, Crystal, of my girl Kia. She did a fantastic job. Check out her website www.yourpicphotography.com ... her prices are awesome. :-)

Aside from projects, we've had a lot going on lately... we moved, which I'm so glad about, because now we're in a house, plus it's in the country so it's nice and quiet. Kia is loving it. I'm planning to post pics, I'm just waiting till we finish getting everything in its place and get some pictures up on the walls. This was by far the most disorganized move ever. It didn't help that we moved the week of my birthday (we had a deadline), plus we had the alternator go out on my blazer and the battery die in the prelude all on the same day. It was an interesting week. Lol...
On a different note, I have less than two months left before I go to extern! I think I might be freaking out a little.... I've got a lot to do before then. So please be praying that I can focus, get everything done, and pass my MO Basic Skills in two weeks (which I am just now starting to study for)!! Eek... stress...lol..
I'll try not to wait 2 months before updating again!
:-)

A couple projects

We spent part of the weekend up at my in-laws' and I finally got to cut into my new fabric and sew, since my awesome brother-in-law was nice enough to fix my sewing machine for me (thanks John Mark!!) It turned out to be just a bent needle. Which made me feel a little dumb.
But anyways, I whipped this runner up Saturday night out of Cotton Blossoms and I LOVE the way it turned out. It's already on its way to the quilters and I can't wait to get it back and throw it on my table. It's really a lot prettier than the pictures show... lighting wasn't the greatest.

And then on Sunday I started a quilt using an Arcadia honey bun... I'm thinking I'll finish it up this week. I love the way the white makes the colors pop... :-D

I get a rare day off of school on Tuesday, so I'm planning to head to my parents' house for the day and us girls are going to have a quilting day... fun! We hardly ever get to do stuff like this, so I'm stoked. :-)
I already have another quilt in mind to start...

On a random note, I found Alice hiding in Steve's drawers and snapped a picture... her face just cracks me up! What a weirdo.
